According to the musician, over the past four years his position regarding Crimea has not changed at all.

“I haven’t softened or hardened. I believe that in today’s world, and in any world, a prerequisite for its stability is international agreements that must be observed. If everyone rushes to disobey them, then the devil knows what will happen. And a conversation on the topic “Oh, the Americans can do it, so we can too - this is a bad conversation.” It turns out that if someone steals, then we will steal too. And this is not a position,” said Makarevich.

Makarevich also added that he would not have gone to Crimea even if the Ukrainian authorities had given their permission.

"No. I don't want to go there. I consider this territory occupied,” said the musician.
