Makarevich declared part of Russia occupied
Famous Russian musician Andrei Makarevich again called Crimea “occupied” and refused to come there for concerts even with the permission of the Kyiv authorities.
He stated this on air on the RTVi TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the musician, over the past four years his position regarding Crimea has not changed at all.
“I haven’t softened or hardened. I believe that in today’s world, and in any world, a prerequisite for its stability is international agreements that must be observed. If everyone rushes to disobey them, then the devil knows what will happen. And a conversation on the topic “Oh, the Americans can do it, so we can too - this is a bad conversation.” It turns out that if someone steals, then we will steal too. And this is not a position,” said Makarevich.
Makarevich also added that he would not have gone to Crimea even if the Ukrainian authorities had given their permission.
"No. I don't want to go there. I consider this territory occupied,” said the musician.
