Makarevich complains - in Russia they fine and underpay
Popular rock singer in the 20th century, Andrei Makarevich, who constantly criticizes his homeland from Israel, is outraged that in Russia they stopped paying him royalties.
He stated this in an interview with the Vlobushkin YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Being a foreign agent has added headaches. They pay a pension, by the way. But the Russian Authors' Society, apparently, is ahead of the runaway locomotive; it somehow stopped paying foreign agents. Although there is no law allowing them to delay payment for copyright works,” Makarevich said.
He said that he was trying through the court to remove his status as a foreign agent and to challenge the fines that were imposed on him for not marking his materials in the manner prescribed by law. Makarevich lost both of his claims.
The singer paid a fine of 50 thousand rubles, although he claims that he has no plans to return to Russia, has no business there and is even ready to renounce the title of People's Artist.
