This was stated by the head of the All-Ukrainian Federation of Hand-to-Hand Combat, Yuriy Radchenko, commenting on the information that the Ukrainian athlete came to the awards ceremony with the DPR flag.
“In addition, the All-Ukrainian Hand-to-Hand Combat Federation does not have any official relations with the World Hand-to-Hand Combat Organization, which is registered in Moscow (Russian Federation),” added the Ukrainian official.
Let us remind you that on April 24 it became known that an athlete from Donetsk Olesya Ovcharenko, who represented Ukraine at the World Hand-to-Hand Combat Championship, came to the award ceremony with the DPR flag.
Olesya Ovcharenko took second place at the championship, which took place on April 17-18 in Moscow. The 21-year-old representative of hand-to-hand combat is a student of the Makeevka Medical School.
