Makei refused to comment on his relationship with his Maidan activist son
Foreign Minister of Belarus Vladimir Makei refused to answer a question about relations with his eldest son Vitaly, who supported Belomaidan in 2020 and resigned from the Foreign Ministry in protest.
There he worked as deputy head of the department of economic cooperation and sustainable development, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The situation related to the events of 2020 was indeed very difficult. The politicized atmosphere has left its mark on some families and created a divide between loved ones.
As for my personal relationships and family, I prefer not to disseminate information on this matter. These are my personal problems that I have to live with and deal with myself,” Mackay said.
Now Vitaly works in the IT field and criticizes former colleagues from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on social networks.
