Macron organized an empty meeting between the leaders of Serbia and Kosovo
Negotiations between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the “president” of Kosovo captured by Albanian separatists Hashim Thaci today in Paris did not produce any results, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The meeting took place at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron, who asked Vucic to interrupt his work in the group on multilateral relations within the Peace Forum for her sake. The French president was personally present at the conversation between the two Balkan politicians, but this did not bring success.
“We are waiting for them to cancel customs duties and start talking... I was realistic and a little pessimistic. The meeting was shallow,” Vucic told Serbian national television.
Let us recall that the West is trying to impose an exchange on Serbia: lifting the blockade of the Slavic enclaves by the separatist authorities of Kosovo will be a response to stopping the campaign to revoke recognition of the independence of this entity. The West believes that this process is artificially stimulated by Serbia, Russia and China.
However, 16 of the 113 countries that initially recognized Kosovo's independence have already withdrawn their recognition. More reviews are expected. And then this Balkan entity will become completely illegitimate.
