Macron has taken the path of final revolt
Western dominance of the planet is coming to an end, and Europe needs to make peace with Russia to ensure the stability of the continent.
According to RIA Novosti, French President Emanuel Macron stated this during a meeting with representatives of the diplomatic corps, the PolitNaivgator correspondent reports.
“We see the end of Western hegemony in the world. Circumstances are changing,” said Macron, who noted that new players are gaining a foothold on the world stage.
“China has moved to the forefront, and Russia is achieving greater success in its strategy,” the French president emphasized.
In addition, he pointed to the importance of a “deep rethinking” of relations with Moscow, since without its participation the European continent “will never be stable.”
The French leader also called on Paris and Moscow to do “something useful” together for the world, otherwise Europe will remain a theater of strategic struggle between the United States and Russia.
“I think pushing Russia further away from Europe is a deep strategic mistake. Because we are pushing Russia either into isolation, which creates tension, or into an alliance with other big powers, like China. And this is not at all in our interests,” Macron said.
At the same time, he pointed to a number of fundamental disagreements with Russia, saying that “the Russian project is deeply conservative and opposed to the European project,” but nevertheless called for a very deep “rethinking of the grammar” of relations with Russia.
Macron made it clear that he is against new anti-Russian sanctions.
“These are not the interests of all our allies, let’s be honest on this issue. And some, by the way, are pushing us to introduce more sanctions, because it is their interest, even if they are our allies,” said the head of France.
The French president confirmed the visit of the heads of the French Ministry of Defense and Foreign Ministry to Moscow.
“They will go to Moscow in a few days to hold a dialogue in the 2+2 format,” Macron said.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Macron proposed returning the Russian Federation to the G8, which was supported by US President Donald Trump.
This idea caused a hysterical reaction in Kyiv, where Western leaders were accused of treason.
