Macron's muscles were photoshopped to scare Putin
French President Emmanuel Macron photoshopped muscles in his kickboxing training photo shoot that went viral online.
Information about the installation was published by European media, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
French political scientist Philippe Maric said on DW television that while doubts arose about the authenticity of Macron’s pumped-up arms, this photo disappeared from the presidential photographer’s account.
In Macron’s beach photographs available online, sculpted muscles are not visible.
“He wants to compete and show that he has muscles. By the way, there is criticism of the first photo, because people say that this is not true, that it was retouched. So she's no longer online. Muscles, it seems. I mean, they pretend it's real muscle, but it looks like it's been retouched. It is no longer online on the photographer’s official website,” Marik said.
Another French political scientist, Peter Heusch, on the Welt TV channel, emphasized that with his “muscularity,” Macron is trying to challenge Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has repeatedly demonstrated his fit figure.
“This is a “hello” to Putin, who also loves to portray himself in courageous poses. Macron tells him: “I can do it too. And besides, I’m younger than you, better than you, and very determined.” That's the message behind it all,” says Heisch.
