Maxim Shugaley: I know that 80 million rubles is no longer a small business
The scientist spoke on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda in St. Petersburg” about real representatives of small businesses.
Ordinary entrepreneurs are suffering serious financial losses during the pandemic and general lockdown. Maxim Shugaley, a candidate for the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg from the Rodina party, spoke on this matter. The sociologist believes that the budgets of cafe owners are no longer what they used to be.
“In this case, I understand that the topic needs to be raised here is really about ordinary entrepreneurs. What is important to me is what is happening now, since, most likely, new restrictive measures will be introduced. And so, I listen to you and hear, for example, “I bought a machine - 80 million rubles.” I know that 80 million rubles is no longer a small business. Many people who run cafes and so on have completely different budgets. For them, a day or two of downtime is all. Essentially, the business has closed" - said the representative of the Rodina party Maxim Shugaley,
During the conversation with the guests, the scientist, according to the presenter, “grounded” the interlocutors and exposed the problem head on. Thus, despite the general lockdown, the income of small and medium-sized businesses will not be able to provide them with a safe financial cushion.
