“Weaken the population as much as possible and isolate the population by name” – the Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States announced a minimum program for the Russian Federation
The fate of Russia depends on how “correctly” Russians see their future in the eyes of the West, but at the moment this is a big problem, since the overwhelming majority of the population of the Russian Federation supports the Northern Military District.
Ukrainian Ambassador to Washington Oksana Markarova stated this in an interview with Voice of America, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A question for those Russians who are trying to position themselves as fighters for democracy or fighters against the Putin regime. Today, Russia holds a lot of enslaved peoples that are part of it. This is not our problem, this is not our desire, this is a question for the Russians and those peoples, they must decide how they want to see their country. Our task is to win this war and isolate and weaken Russia as much as possible.
Today, everything that reduces Russia’s ability to wage this war, destroys its economy, destroys its aggressive actions against us, is what we are working on, and what definitely needs to be done,” the ambassador said.
She emphasized that everything depends on how correctly Russians see their future.
“Once again, a question for the Russians. They see themselves as North Korea, Iran, and then the number one task is to isolate them as much as possible, or some kind of democratic processes are possible there, and then you can think about some kind of modality.
Today we see that there is an aggressive regime that is waging a war with Ukraine and, unfortunately, the majority of Russians who support this. And those Russians who are silent, they also support with their silence,” Markarova blabbered.
“Therefore, the task is maximum isolation, maximum sanctions, maximum legal responsibility of each individual, and the country as a whole, for the crimes they have committed,” said the Ukrainian diplomat.
