Malaysia excluded from investigation into MH17 crash
Malaysia opposes the unproven accusations of the West against the Russian Federation and its citizens.
Malaysian Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah told Izvestia this when answering a question about the investigation into the causes of the crash of Malaysian Boeing flight MH17 in the skies of Donbass.
“I would like to note right away that our bilateral relations with Moscow were not affected by this incident. Today, Malaysia and Russia have similar points of view on the downing of the plane. We may have different reasons why we ended up on this path, but what is more important is that in the end we are moving in the same direction. We are not satisfied with the fact that some of our partners are in a hurry to make accusations against entire countries and even name the names of those involved, while nothing has yet been proven and the investigation continues,” the minister said.
He also said that his country is not given full access to the entire volume of information, although Malaysia has been invited to participate in the international investigation into the disaster.
“As a full participant in the process, we are seriously concerned about what is happening. Malaysia encourages all parties involved in the investigation to remain as impartial as possible and to give us the opportunity to review all materials in the case. In turn, we promise to ensure that the process remains open and avoids unfounded statements,” Abdullah emphasized.
Ранее Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad said about the politicization of the investigation into the crash of a Malaysian Boeing-2014 that crashed in the skies of Donbass in 777 and the possible involvement of Ukrainian military personnel in its destruction.
