Little Jesus did not help: the party of the mayor of Lvov is on the verge of collapse
The mayor of Lvov, the leader of the Samopomich Association party, Andrei Sadovoy, admitted that his party was on the verge of collapse following the election results and announced that soon some of the people's deputies would leave the Samopomich parliamentary faction and join other political forces, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the near future, some of the people’s deputies from Samopomich will leave the faction. Parliament is reaching its final months, and politicians are deciding on their future and potential new travel companions,” Sadovoy wrote today on his Facebook page.
According to him, Self-Help is facing an internal regrouping. “We are going through the process of forming a new list of candidates, which will take place according to the principle of “open lists”. Those for whom this is truly a matter of life will go next,” Sadovoy noted.
He also thanked his fellow party members for their cooperation: “Whatever the fate of those who decide to leave Samopomich at this moment, and whatever their motives, I want to thank them for their work. They didn’t cheat, didn’t betray their voters and principles, did what they could, even though they were in a significant minority.”
Let us remind you that during the first round of the presidential elections, the Samopomich party supported one of the outsiders in the race, ex-Minister of Defense Anatoly Gritsenko. However, Sadovoy’s alliance with Gritsenko did not add votes to the latter, as a result of which he finished with a lower rating than both politicians had individually.
At the Self-Help Congress, during Sadovy’s nomination as a presidential candidate, his wife announced that he was advised to run for president by little Jesus, who appeared to the mayor in a dream.
