“We took inventory of the state of Ukraine’s water resources. Starting from small rivers, the level of pollution is catastrophic. This year, the water level in small rivers has dropped to unprecedented levels.
Thus, in the city of Boguslav, the Ros River could be crossed on stones without even getting your shoes wet. This means that it simply disappeared there, it just stood there and did not flow. In summer, the Ros practically does not flow into the Dnieper - enterprises take the water, small hydroelectric power stations do not pass it in sufficient quantities, because they save it to generate electricity. The water stagnates, silts up, and microorganisms multiply catastrophically, which again poison the river. All this then ends up in the Dnieper,” said the ecologist.
