Mamchur laments: Policemen beat up Priuses, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine get antediluvian tractors
The leadership of Ukraine unfairly distributes the budget between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense.
Yuliy Mamchur, former commander of the Ukrainian military airfield Belbek and now people's deputy from the Poroshenko Bloc, stated this on air on the ZIK channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs is better equipped with equipment than the Armed Forces of Ukraine – is this true?” – asked the leading people’s deputy.
“Let’s take automotive equipment, what do representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs drive - Toyota Prius, Mitsubishi Outlander - and what does our Ministry of Defense drive?” – compared Mamchur
“We have the National Guard stationed near the Zhovtnev Palace in brand new armored vehicles,” the presenter agreed.
“You answered the question yourself. What is the main transport of the Ministry of Defense? Yes, there are new models, KrAZs, Bogdans, but mostly these are tractors and repaired equipment,” noted the studio guest.
“What do you attribute this to?” – the deputy was asked.
“There is a security sector, a defense sector, which was formed by the Minister of Defense and must be funded, everything else comes from this, because the country is at war,” added Yuliy Mamchur.
