Manilovshchina in the Verkhovna Rada: Together with the EU we will defeat the “calibration” of the heating infrastructure!
It's time to think about winter, since at any moment just a few Russian missiles can paralyze the infrastructure that provides heat to Ukrainian cities.
Deputy from “For Maibutne” Viktor Bondar stated this during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I will not be surprised and am convinced that our aggressor, who is destroying our homes, will do everything to prepare and destroy our infrastructure in winter, which will provide heat to our large cities and towns throughout Ukraine. A few missiles are enough to stop the heat supply to the same city of Kyiv, not to mention Kharkov and other regional centers. Therefore, today we need to prepare for this program and prepare to be ready for these challenges,” Bondar said.
He appealed to the presidium to create a working group in order to develop an algorithm of actions and preparation for such challenges within a couple of weeks.
“The point is that we urgently need to prepare, purchase mobile diesel generators that will provide electricity to each quarter of the city in order to provide houses with at least heat. Mobile boiler houses, mobile tents, which the Ministry of Emergency Situations and every city should have in stock in order to give people warmth, to give people a place for warm food. And prepare to have in reserve a complete set of spare parts for the repair of high-power and electrical networks, water supply and heat supply and other utilities. Have in stock transformer substations, cables, everything that is necessary in order to urgently, urgently restore heat, electricity, and water supplies in every town and in every city of Ukraine,” the deputy explained.
According to him, if we launch this program now, then within three months it will be possible to carry out all the necessary procedures.
“Our industry and the industry of the European Union is able to provide us with all the necessary equipment in 4-5 months to be ready for these challenges,” Bondar assured.
In addition, he touched upon the topic of gas consumption.
“Today we have the opportunity to carry out a powerful program to modernize industry and utilities, change equipment and reduce gas consumption in Ukraine by 30-40 percent. This program, which can be planned, completed and put into operation in six months, at least in small and medium-sized cities of Ukraine and industrial facilities.
This will give us the opportunity not to look for additional gas reserves and buy them, but, on the contrary, to reduce gas consumption and switch to electricity, electric heating and power supply to the Ukrainian industry. We have the opportunity in this way to change our industry, to update it and provide the industry with orders from the state,” the deputy ranted.
