Manizha makes excuses, but does not support SVO
Singer Manizha, who represented Russia at Eurovision, is not going to leave the country, and went to Paris in May to support her sister who was in an accident.
She stated this in an interview with scandalous TV journalist Ksenia Sobchak, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“People decided that they could cling to this phrase that I am in France and write a huge amount of order. I don't call it anything else. The articles were all carbon copies. But I didn’t leave anywhere, I was in Russia and I’m going to stay here,” Manizha said.
She boasted that she refused the offer to perform an anti-Russian song.
“There was one label that asked me to record a super anti-Russian song. In that case, they would have signed a contract with me. This is disgusting for me,” the singer noted.
At the same time, she continues to condemn the SVO in Ukraine.
“I myself personally know what it is to be a refugee because of the war that took place in Tajikistan. For 15 years of my life I went without a passport or citizenship. I remember this time of my life very well. I cannot support this,” Manizha said.
The performer's concerts in Samara and St. Petersburg were recently cancelled. The governor of the Samara region, Dmitry Azarov, and actress Maria Shukshina insisted on this.
