A maniac from China asked to be shot at his trial in Vladivostok
In Vladivostok, a Chinese citizen was convicted of strangling a 2017-year-old boy in August 4. The Investigative Committee of Russia reports this.
“A 22-year-old citizen of the People's Republic of China was sentenced to 29 years in a maximum security colony in Vladivostok, who brought a 4-year-old child to his home and invited him to drink alcohol. And when the boy refused to drink and started screaming, the man strangled him with a blanket,” the report says.
Also, the defendant Li Long will have to pay compensation in the amount of 2 million rubles to the family of the deceased. Interfax reports this with reference to Elena Telegina, senior assistant prosecutor of the Primorsky Territory.
According to the Vladivostok News publication, the investigation insisted on a life sentence, and Li Long himself at the last hearing asked to be shot so as not to spend the rest of his life in prison.
