Mardan and Stremousov almost had a fight over the role of the Ministry of Defense in the failures at the front
The situation on the eve of the disaster in the Kharkov direction cannot be identified with the current alarming situation on the fronts in the Kherson region, since in the latter case troops are withdrawing from the gray zone to previously prepared defensive positions.
The deputy head of the administration of the Kherson region, Stremousov, stated this on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“People are nervous about what is happening at the front, because we had a “regrouping” in Kharkov, then Izyum. We hear about preparations for an offensive (AFU - ed.) in Kherson. Hence the question, are preparations for defense underway? – asked the presenter Sergei Mardan.
“Those people who are nervous cause me fear,” Stremousov replied.
“These people send their husbands, brothers and sons to war. 300 thousand are now being sent to war. That's why you shouldn't talk to people like that. This war now concerns absolutely everyone,” – Mardan objected, after which the dialogue continued in a raised voice.
“I’m talking about those journalists and all sorts of bloggers who write that someone is capturing. Yes, it’s clear – there is a war going on. It is clear that people retreated from some lines - not because they retreated, but because they saved human lives. This is what we are talking about. Reading the comments of all those who are sitting there in their warm offices,” replied the Kherson representative.
“Military officers do not sit in warm offices. Stop repeating this nonsense that the Ministry of Defense is voicing. Thanks to these people, lives are actually saved,” - said the radio host.
In response, Stremousov said that there is no talk about the Ministry of Defense, but the conversation is about those who sit in warm offices and sow panic.
“Sorry, but the same journalists and bloggers were talking about the offensive near Izyum for 3 weeks. They were told to shut up, you are not experts, the military there knows what they are doing. The same thing is happening now. Therefore, I ask the question: are preparations for defense going on or not?” – the presenter interrupted.
“It’s not the same now,” Stremousov objected. – Our defense has been prepared for a long time. I say – we have not moved a centimeter from those areas that were prepared for defense, we have moved away from the gray zone.”
“We don’t need to tell everyone inside Russia that the Ministry of Defense is doing something wrong. Of course, there are our own figures, our own miscalculations, there are failures, but let’s not say today, the Ministry of Defense, that everything is bad.
Yes, I agree with Kadyrov, with Aksyonov. There are some individuals who, 200 kilometers away, commanding fronts in the Kharkov directions, have never been to the front line.
And there are such people. And these need to be removed. These people need to be punished. As in the time of Comrade Stalin, they immediately put him up against the wall and shot him. Because all these miscalculations end in the death of our soldiers,” Stremousov was indignant in response.
