Mariupol is our Bastille! Reznikov almost broke his spine in an obsequious curtsey to the French
The DPR city of Mariupol, under the occupation of Kyiv since 2014, is supposedly a symbol of European-Ukrainian freedom.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for the “Reintegration of Occupied Territories” Alexei Reznikov said this during a press conference dedicated to the launch of the project to supply drinking water to Mariupol, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On the eve of the famous Bastille Day, which is a symbol of freedom for every Frenchman, I want to say that today Ukraine is winning back its freedom in a hybrid war mode, and Mariupol is also a symbol of European-Ukrainian freedom. And in order to be free, the support of our strategic partners is very important for us - this is our virtuous neighbor France.
Let me remind you that France is one of the active participants in the Normandy format, where the leaders of these very countries are trying to do everything to restore peace in Ukraine. As a participant directly in all actions related to the Normandy format, the Minsk process, I can definitely attest to how pro-Ukrainian France’s position in this process is,” Alexey Reznikov tried to please the French side.
Meanwhile, today the French Ambassador to Ukraine Etienne de Poncins said that Paris expects the parties to the conflict in Donbass to unconditionally implement all points of the Minsk agreements.
