Mariupol rose in defense of the Russian language
In the center of Mariupol (a city in the Donetsk region, controlled by Kyiv), a tent of the “Opposition Bloc” was erected in which they collected signatures against the law “On Education” adopted by the Verkhovna Rada. Ukrainian People's Deputy Alexey Bely was present at the place where signatures were collected.

The initiators of the collection of signatures are demanding to change the rule of law, according to which education in schools will be conducted in the state language.
“People should learn in the language in which they are comfortable. For example, if he speaks Russian, studies in Russian, then he also studies subjects in it. If he is comfortable speaking French, then let him study in French. If in Ukrainian, then in Ukrainian. In no case do we put the Russian language above the Ukrainian language. Of course not. We need to study Ukrainian, that’s right. But if a person is comfortable speaking another language, this should not be a ban,” said the activist in the tent.
