Mariupol will become the tourist capital of Donbass
The resort center of the Donetsk Republic will be located in Mariupol.
Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism of the Donetsk Republic Alexander Gromakov said this in response to a question from PolitNavigator.
“In Mariupol, a master plan is now being coordinated and developed in order to finally determine the zone for tourism,” the minister noted. – One of the options for Azovstal is the creation of a technology park that would not harm the environmental situation, since Mariupol is, first of all, a resort. On its territory there will be some other zones that are not directly related to tourist recreation, but to the tourist component of production.”
In addition, the Donetsk Republic has 80 km of coastline of the Azov Sea, comfortable for families with small children and for the elderly.
“We will develop the infrastructure so that residents of our republic and regions of the Russian Federation come on vacation from April to October. More than 40 boarding houses and holiday homes can accommodate both residents of nearby regions and the entire Russian Federation,” Gromakov emphasized.
He named the Khomutovskaya Steppe Nature Reserve with relict feather grass and wild horses, and the Zuevsky Landscape Park with picturesque rocks and cascades of lakes as potential for the development of tourism.
