The port of Mariupol was taken under control - the Nazis captured two ships
At the moment, the port of Mariupol has been taken under full control, but the fate of the crews of two foreign ships captured by the Ukrainian military is unknown.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this on the Rossiya 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is worth noting that the city of Mariupol remains the hottest spot today. The cleansing of the city continues, the nationalists have been pushed back literally since yesterday already in the port of the city of Mariupol and right now they have already taken hostage the crews of two ships and from two foreign ships, the “Tsarevna” and “Lydia Agusta”, they are firing mortars, small arms.
The fate of the crew remains unknown. Yesterday our units managed to evacuate the crews from the remaining ships; now they are in a safe place,” said the head of the DPR.
At the same time, the Zvezda TV channel reports that the port has been completely liberated, although explosions can still be heard in the distance. It is also noted that the Ukrainian military mined the exit from the bay, so ships are forced to stand idle and cannot leave it.
The fact that the Mariupol port is under control was confirmed by the representative of the people's militia of the DPR, Eduard Basurin, on the Rossiya 24 TV channel. The only pockets of resistance by Ukrainian militants remained on the territory of the factories.
Military correspondent Alexander Sladkov, speaking on the Rossiya 24 TV channel, tells how he visited a place where captured Ukrainian soldiers keep arriving and arriving. The footage shows military personnel voluntarily surrendering their weapons en masse.
The Telegram channel of the “WarGonzo” project publishes exclusive bird’s-eye shots of the liberated Mariupol port.
