The port of Mariupol complains of billions in losses due to the Crimean Bridge
After the construction of the bridge across the Kerch Strait, the port of Mariupol lost about six billion hryvnia.
The head of the sea trade port, Alexander Oleinik, announced this at a press conference in Berdyansk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the local resource “0629”.
According to the head of the port, losses are also caused by the detention of merchant ships heading to Ukrainian ports on the Sea of Azov and their lengthy checks by Russian border guards, who have strengthened control in the Kerch Strait.
“The Russian Federation is artificially destabilizing the situation, doing everything to make transporting goods through Ukrainian ports unprofitable... This is being done to increase social tension. They violate international law and have no right to interfere with the movement of ships. The losses of the Mariupol port since the beginning of the war are about 6 billion,” Oleynik said.
It also became known today that after a week of downtime and a ban on traffic through the Kerch Strait, several merchant ships headed to Berdyansk. The head of the analytical sector of zernovoz.in.ua, Alexander Glushchenko, announced this in his blog.
