A Mariupol mechanic was sentenced for a post on social networks
The Ordzhonikidze District Court of Ukrainian-controlled Mariupol convicted a local resident who posted a “separatist” post on the Odnoklassniki social network.

A city resident who worked as a mechanic at the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant named after. Ilyich, in March 2017, posted on his page on the Odnoklassniki social network a repost from the Anti-Maidan group, which contained the phrase “Stop feeding Bandera - and Kiev and the South and the East - join Russia!”
This statement was regarded by Ukrainian law enforcement officers as “a call to change the territorial integrity of the state.”
The Mariupol resident was charged under Part 1 of Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.”
The court sentenced the “separatist” to 3 years in prison with a suspended probationary period of 1 year.
They also recovered 1001 hryvnia from the man as compensation for the expenses of the experts’ work.
