Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated this today at a briefing in Sevastopol.
“As for attracting Ukrainian tourists to Crimea, I think that there is no need to focus on tourists from any specific countries, but simply develop the infrastructure of Crimea and popularize tourist sites for Russian tourists. This is just a sea of opportunities for you, because not all Russian citizens were here. Introducing them to Crimea is a priority,” Zakharova said.
She spoke enthusiastically about the Crimean sights that she visited during the May holidays.
“I see how every year the infrastructure, both civil and tourist, is gaining momentum. This is reflected in the statistics of the influx of tourists,” Zakharova said.
In the future, she promised, the Russian Foreign Ministry will help attract foreign tourists to Crimea.
