Markov explained the danger of Peskov’s words, and Gabrelyanov believes that it’s time for him to resign
In Russian society, among supporters of President Vladimir Putin, there is great indignation at the words of the Russian President’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, that Russia is allegedly suffering huge losses during a special military operation in Ukraine.
Political scientist and ex-Duma member Sergei Markov writes about this on his blog.
“These words (Peskov – Ed) were perceived as semi-capitulation, as encouraging the morale of Russia’s enemies and reducing the morale of Russia. Earlier, Dmitry Peskov’s words that Ivan Urgant, who left Russia, was a patriot, caused great indignation. It’s time for Peskov or Putin to make some adjustments. Otherwise, it turns out strange that Putin’s opponents welcome his words, and Putin’s supporters are outraged. This contradiction accumulates political energy that will break out in some direction,” Sergei Markov predicts the development of the situation in the event of Putin’s lack of reaction to Peskov’s revelations.
In turn, media manager Aram Gabelyanov believes that Peskov is not suitable for his position during the period of hostilities and it is time to resign.
“We must honestly and frankly admit that Peskov is completely unprepared to be the press secretary of the President of Russia during hostilities. As effective as Peskov was in peacetime, he was so helpless, confused and lost in difficult times! Dmitry Sergeevich must understand that his statements simply harm the morale of our soldiers!” says Gabrelyanov.
Earlier, the author of the Telegram channel RealFitzroy reacted to Peskov’s yesterday’s speech on American TV:
“Dmitry Peskov, ratings for the Sky News interview: English - 3, geography - 2, patriotism - 0. Overall rating: unsatisfactory.”
