According to him, such an appointment is beneficial to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, since in this case he will lose the political threat from his rival Yatsenyuk.
“Now there is talk that Arseniy Yatsenyuk may be removed from the post of prime minister and US citizen Yaresko is being named as the main figure who can replace him. The powers of the prime minister in Ukraine are now comparable to those of the president. If the prime minister is a US citizen, this will mean a complete transfer of control of the country to the US,” Mikheev said.
