Masks have been torn off: Russia has no more positive relations with NATO
Russia is at its lowest point in relations with NATO since the collapse of the USSR.
Deputy Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Grushko stated this during a round table of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to a senior Russian diplomat, there is no positive agenda between Russia and the North Atlantic Alliance today.
“We are at our lowest point in relations with NATO since the end of the Cold War. The Alliance, obviously, failed to adapt to the new security conditions and, for the sake of its own survival, returned to the postulates of the Cold War - protection from “threats” from the east. All practical interaction with Russia has ceased, even in those areas that provided obvious security benefits for all members of the Russia-NATO Council. Thus, there is no positive agenda in our relations with the Alliance today,” Grushko said.
