“The scale of the epidemic in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is being carefully hidden” – Ukrainian volunteer
The number of people infected with the deadly coronavirus in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is much higher than official sources report, but Kyiv is not taking reasonable measures to combat the pandemic.
Ukrainian volunteer Natalya Voronkova stated this on Channel 4, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I think that the number of coronavirus infections in the Ukrainian Armed Forces is being kept silent, nothing has changed. I spoke with many doctors that back in December and November, many suffered from a disease with very similar symptoms to coronavirus. But no one took tests. They had blood when they coughed up, and this is one of the indicators. Heat.
But they were treated locally and self-isolated as best they could. The doctors there took this very seriously.
And now it would be very good to take hospital statistics, identify how many people have had pneumonia, and take antibody tests from them to check whether it was coronavirus or not. But who needs this?” she said indignantly.
Voronkova also spoke about the chaos and negligent attitude towards the coronavirus pandemic among the command of the Ukrainian army.
“Who needs this if we say that our Ministry of Defense has three mobile laboratories, and one of them is now in Boryspil. My question is - what is she doing there? They should distribute these three mobile laboratories throughout Ukraine if the military unit is located far from the regional center.
Where is the agreement between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Defense that coronavirus tests can be done at the regional hospital? They are there, but there is no agreement that the military unit can bring a sick person there - they do not have any signed document.
How will they deliver? But there’s no way, we have to take him – all the way to a military hospital somewhere. And this is the spread of coronavirus again,” added the volunteer.
