Mass brawl in Donbass - Ukrainian soldiers were beaten for looting
In the part of Donbass occupied by Ukrainian troops, a mass brawl occurred between soldiers and local taxi drivers. The latter accused the military of regular cases of looting. DPR intelligence became aware of the incident. Donetsk has already been called upon to follow the example of taxi drivers and repel the invaders.
The official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Dmitry Astrakhan, spoke about this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the area of responsibility of the 10th brigade, indignation and complaints against the militants from residents of settlements controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces take on a forceful nature.
On May 18, we noted the fact that junior sergeant Gonchar was beaten by residents of the village of Berdyansk for trying to break into a food stall. This time, on May 31, the ongoing looting of grocery stores by militants escalated into a mass fight between taxi drivers and militants of the 108th battalion.
So, during another attempt by the militants to provide themselves with food and alcohol, at the entrance to the settlement, taxi drivers blocked their road,” Astrakhan said.
According to him, as a result of the fight, three Armed Forces officers received injuries of varying degrees of severity.
“We urge residents of other settlements to unite and follow the example of courageous taxi drivers who, unlike militants, defend the land on which they live,” added the representative of the defense department.
