Mass poisoning with low-quality products: 400 people ended up in hospitals in the Zaporozhye region
Over the past week, 399 people fell ill with intestinal infections in the Zaporozhye region. Most of the victims ate vegetables and fruits.

This was reported by the State Institution “Zaporozhye Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The incidence rate was 22,5 per 100 thousand population.
Almost all the victims were poisoned by food (78,1%), with the majority of them poisoned by vegetables and fruits (24,5% each). 20,9% went to the hospital due to consumption of dairy products, 18,4% - for meat products, and 9,8% - for fish products.
In 50,7% of cases of poisoning are associated with the consumption of products and dishes that were prepared and stored at home. The share of products purchased in spontaneous markets is 28,7%, in legalized markets - 19,5%.
Experts are now recording a deterioration in the sanitary and epidemiological situation throughout Ukraine. The number of cases of food poisoning has increased in almost every region.
