Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik said this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The expert noted that last year alone, 140 thousand more people died in Ukraine than were born.
“We are number one in the world - the country that is dying out at the fastest rate. In general, over 25 years there have been 10 million fewer of us, if we evaluate real data. We are dying out because of politicians who, in the words of the classic, prevent us from living. The next crisis that will lead to the depopulation of Ukraine is precisely mass migration. According to experts, from three to eight million Ukrainians today de facto do not live in our country. This is the key problem. Last year, there were 200 thousand fewer Ukrainians in Ukraine, and only 60 thousand were born. Moreover, the birth rate is falling from year to year, state support for the birth rate is falling and this trend is irreversible,” Bortnik warned.
