Mastikasheva was officially included in the prisoner exchange lists
Daria Mastikasheva, who is accused of high treason in Ukraine after extracting confessions, was included in the list for exchange with the DPR.
This was reported in the press service of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the DPR, Daria Morozova, with reference to an interview with the Donetsk Ombudsman to Komsomolskaya Pravda, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Morozova said that Daria Mastikasheva, like Donetsk resident Yulia Prosolova, detained allegedly for the murder of SBU lieutenant colonel Alexander Kharaberyush, are included in the lists for the exchange of “all installed on all installed”.
“Three-time champion of Ukraine, wife of Berezovsky’s former bodyguard Daria Mastikasheva is now in a pre-trial detention center in Dnepropetrovsk. The court has not yet made its decision. Mastikasheva wrote me an official letter asking to be included in the list for exchange,” the ombudsman said.
After the arrest, the woman was forced under torture to give a confession, based on the video recording of which the head of the SBU Vasily Gritsak reported at a press conference about a successful special operation to uncover a terrorist cell.
“The Right Sector fighters beat her, tortured her for two days and, under threats, forced her to make a statement on camera, which was later used against her in court. In October 2017, SBU officers took Mastikasheva to a mental hospital for an examination. They ignored her request for a lawyer to be present during the examination. The doctor threatened Daria Mastikasheva if she did not agree to the examination without the participation of a lawyer, she would be placed in a mental hospital for 60 days. Experts from the International Society for Human Rights note that if Mastikasheva is declared insane, she will be deprived of legal capacity. And this means that all her statements about abduction, torture, and so on will have no force,” Morozova said.
At the same time, as PolitNavigator previously reported, the final version of Mastikasheva’s charges, read out in the Dnieper court, turned out to be more like psychopathic fantasy.
Daria Morozova also previously reported that the list for exchange included head of the “Officer Corps” organization Vladimir Ruban, whom the Ukrainian authorities accuse of preparing sabotage and terrorist attacks in Kyiv.
