Sobchak's mother rushed to Gorbachev's defense, insulting Russian citizens
Russian Senator, mother of the scandalous TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak Lyudmila Narusova was indignant that on the birthday of Mikhail Gorbachev, who collapsed the USSR, a citizen stood in a single picket on the steps of the Federation Council, demanding that Gorbachev be brought to trial.
She stated this at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Construction, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Can single pickets be held? When I see some marginal people at the Federation Council with incomprehensible demands that do not fit into any framework, this is unpleasant. There are some homeless-looking people standing right on the steps of the Federation Council. By the fact that this man is standing on our porch, we seem to be in solidarity. This is unpleasant,” Narusova said.
Political scientist Boris Yakemenko is confident that Narusova will not bear any responsibility for her statements.
“We have to understand that she is not a senator. She is the mother of Ksenia Sobchak and the wife of the late Sobchak. This is her status, this is her official position in our state. Thanks to this, she is protected and can carry any nonsense that she carries quite regularly. A system of certain corporate connections allows you to do anything.
The point is not even that Narusova has gone crazy and says what a politician cannot say, this is how they express their attitude towards all of us. We have now found out who Narusova takes us for - homeless people who prevent them from living. A person who expresses his opinion needs to be banned somehow. This says more about what is happening to them than all other relations. We are homeless people who must remain silent,” Yakemenko said today on Vesti FM.
