Mothers of Nikolaev paratroopers were not allowed to meet with Poroshenko
Nikolaev, August 21 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Mothers of servicemen of the 79th Nikolaev airmobile brigade came today under the checkpoint of military unit A-0224, where a meeting was held with the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

According to Novosti N, the women asked to be allowed into the unit to meet with the president, but they were refused.
“We would like to see how our children are rewarded. The president will present them with orders, we also want to be present,” the women explained.
However, this is not the only reason why they want to see Petro Poroshenko.
“We want to look him in the eye and ask him what will happen next,” the mothers of the paratroopers said, referring to further developments in the east of the country.
According to them, they asked the duty officer at the checkpoint to enter the unit’s territory and meet with the president. He, in turn, called somewhere and answered: “It’s not allowed.”
As Navigator reported, today Poroshenko presented awards to the paratroopers, as well as documents for an apartment to the widow of a deceased serviceman, sang the anthem, listened to “Ocean Elzy,” who gave a concert for the brigade, and received a vest as a gift. The President stressed that the country will not forget its heroes.
