Matios discovered a secret FSB agent on a captured Russian tanker
The military prosecutor's office of Ukraine does not rule out the presence of a classified representative of Russian federal services on the seized tanker NEYMA, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Chief Military Prosecutor Anatoly Matios stated this in an interview with the Kyiv publication Novoye Vremya.
“The head of the law firm that owned the ship NEYMA has been identified; he has also been identified in Ukraine; he has been interrogated by investigators from the Security Service and the Military Prosecutor’s Office. We have received a lot of information, which we recognize as evidence, that behind deliberate commands - by direct commands, which is confirmed by official radio interceptions that occurred during the attempt of Ukrainian ships to cross the waters of the Kerch Bridge, about the issuance of commands by FSB representatives to the owner of this vessel about the need for urgent towing this tanker under the Kerch Bridge, so that if Ukrainian ships passed the Kerch Bridge, they would run into this barge,” Matios said.
According to him, when NEYMA was detained by the Ukrainian side, the ship was not heading to the Russian Federation, but to a new entity that owned this tanker.
“The team was recruited a few days before. There were Russian citizens there, not people from Crimea. They issued books (passports - ed.) to the sailors shortly before, we do not know their origin and work in previous places. There was a fairly young contingent there. We do not exclude a possible secret representative of the federal services of the Russian Federation,” said the military prosecutor.
Let us remind you that on July 24, according to the information of the Ukrainian border guards, the tanker NIKA SPIRIT entered the port of Izmail under the flag of the Russian Federation, which under the IMO number - 8895528, according to the international information system EQUASIS, was identified as the already known tanker NEYMA, which was used to block the Kerch Strait.
The border guards handed over all the necessary and received information to the military prosecutor's office, which is handling this case.
The SBU detained a Russian tanker. Subsequently, the crew members of the detained Russian tanker NEYMA returned to Russia.
