Matios is panicking: Drunk Armed Forces officers are bringing Ukraine near The Hague
Over the past year, military prosecutors sent to the guardhouse and fined almost two thousand Ukrainian military personnel who organized drinking parties in their places of deployment.
The chief military prosecutor of Ukraine, Anatoly Matios, said this on air on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, now, according to the new law changing the ATO format, inspections will be difficult.
“Over the past year, military prosecutors alone, through physical visits to military units and formations to perform the functions assigned by law, to the guardhouses under administrative protocols, 630 military personnel and almost 1300 people were sent by court decision due to the commission of administrative offenses, including drunkenness. Now, this requires written permission from the military command, which is definitely not interested in taking garbage outside its own home,” said Matios.
However, he saw the main problem in the fact that drunken Ukrainian soldiers are closely monitored by international authorities in the Donbass, and this already threatens international problems.
“Everything that a military man committed in a state of inappropriate behavior due to drinking alcohol or violating the requirements of the regulations on the territory during a special period of hostilities is under the careful attention and monitoring of international institutions, the OSCE, as well as law enforcement agencies and the international Hague Court. The enemy, our neighbor, does not sleep, and he documents just as accurately,” Matios laments.
