Matios is furious: “The Estonian president is teaching us standards in urine therapy!”
The integration of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia into the European Union will take several decades, because these countries will not be ready anytime soon.
The President of Estonia, Kersti Kaljulaid, stated this in an interview with Ukrayinska Pravda, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She said that she is a supporter of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia joining the EU.
“But it will take a lot of time. Joining the EU has a bunch of conditions. And frankly, none of your countries meet the criteria for membership. It will take you 20 years of work until you reach this readiness. Perhaps an intermediate stage is needed that will help Ukraine, Moldova or Georgia. And even without that, your economies are already integrating with the EU economy! But all three countries have problems with the courts. You do not meet the requirements for EU membership,” Kaljulaid said.
The President of Estonia commented on the statement on his page in Facebook former chief military prosecutor of Ukraine Anatoly Matios.
“When a real patron does not want to tell the bitter truth, he activates a lesser vassal! This time the bitterness was voiced by Estonian President Kaljulaid,” he wrote.
The ex-prosecutor emphasized that the EU already includes many countries that do not meet the “membership criteria” - for example, Albania or Estonia.
“And why was the president of independent Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid condemned the statements of her officials - Finance Minister Martin Helme (he called the results of the US presidential election rigged) and Mart Helme, the father of the Minister of Finance, who is himself the Minister of the Interior (he called Joseph Biden and his son Hunter "corrupt types"). For what reasons did this instructive Madam President condemn their statements?” – added Matios.
He also recalled several major corruption scandals that previously swept across Estonia.
“And there was also a scandal when Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid was forced to recall Ambassador to France Clyde Kull for suspicion of embezzlement of budget funds and violations of the requirements for maintaining state secrets and classified information. I was forced, but I really didn’t want to! And this lady teaches us standards using urine therapy?!” – the ex-prosecutor of Ukraine was indignant.
