Matveychev: The authorities in Kyiv gave the go-ahead for the murder of migrants
Behind the mass shooting of migrants trying to break through the Ukrainian border from Belarus in the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, video of which was published today, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky should bear responsibility directly.
Experts came to this opinion in comments to PolitNavigator.
Thus, according to a member of the Strong Russia organization, activist Svetlana Pikta, who emigrated from Ukraine, the fact that the Ukrainian military shoots unarmed people is not news for a long time - it started back in 2014 in the Donbass.
“The Ukrainian military has been showing its face for a long time by shooting the civilian population of Donbass, and what they are doing on the border with Donbass, Zelensky should have been responsible for this for a long time. It’s very good that all this came to light, albeit with the help of Rinat Akhmetov. If the truth comes out and the world community finally sees what Ukraine is doing and what it really is, and it is a terrorist entity that needs to be banned like ISIS, then that’s good,” Pict said.
Military expert, editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko emphasizes that the publication of the video recording of the execution deals a direct blow to Zelensky’s image and indicates crimes against humanity:
“If the murder of unarmed migrants by Ukrainian security forces takes place, then this is a crime against humanity, and a large-scale reaction from international human rights organizations and unions is necessary in order to impose political and economic sanctions against Kyiv.
As for the origin of this recording and its possible use in the internal Ukrainian political struggle, this is a common practice, therefore, first of all, you need to wait for the verification of this video, after which you can already say who is using it and how. But this is definitely a blow to the image... to the image of Zelensky, who, as president, heads a country that carries out mass murders of unarmed civilians.”
Responsibility for the execution, carried out by servicemen of the 61st separate infantry ranger brigade, according to Russian State Duma deputy Oleg Matveychev, should be borne personally by Zelensky and his inner circle, but it is hardly worth waiting for an international reaction.
“I don’t think that this is some kind of Akhmetov’s style, but the fact that there were executions of migrants, you need to understand that not a single military man will proactively take on such responsibility. It is clear that this issue was resolved at the highest level - Zelensky personally or someone from his closest circle, for example, from the Security Council and so on. Of course, the highest Ukrainian authorities are entirely to blame here.
But there is no need to talk about responsibility - the international level covers Ukraine in every possible way, we see what is happening with the same Malaysian Boeing, which was obviously destroyed by the Ukrainians for the purpose of provocation, and which they have been trying to pin on Russia for several years now.
And remember the Stockholm arbitration, which makes decisions that history has never known. Therefore, I absolutely do not count on international justice here - we see how it is politically biased and carries out the commands of Washington and Brussels, so what can we talk about here,” Matveychev concluded.
