Matveychev: Platoshkin was recruited by the Americans
Opposition leftist politician Nikolai Platoshkin previously worked at the Russian Foreign Ministry, from where he was expelled, probably on suspicion of working for the United States.
Professor of the Higher School of Economics Oleg Matveychev stated this on the YouTube channel “Zasuverenitet”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We learned about Nikolai Platoshkin in 2018. It turns out that all this time this man worked great in good positions in the Foreign Ministry, ambassador to Latin America, then in Houston, USA. And there, in Houston, he was kicked out of the Foreign Ministry.
This is strange, because why would the Foreign Ministry kick out a normal diplomat, who has made a career, and is still young? There are strong suspicions that he was recruited by the Americans. Maybe they couldn’t really prove it, and they decided to just quietly get rid of him, and he was fired,” Matveychev noted.
The expert noted that the “promotion” of Nikolai Platoshkin cost more than one million rubles.
“Next Platoshkin was noticed by some people with money. Maybe Jodorowsky, maybe the same Americans who recruited him in Houston, maybe there are some other enemies of the people there.
But instantly he had a lot of money, he began to appear in all the groups on VKontakte and Odnoklassniki.
In general, in terms of the scale of promotion, this was comparable to the scale of Grudinin’s promotion before the presidential elections, that is, no one knew who Grudinin was, and a month later all social networks were filled with Grudinin,” Matveychev emphasized.
He recalled that Platoshkin ran for the State Duma from the Khabarovsk Territory, having taken funding for the campaign somewhere, because he himself could not have such finances.
“Here, regarding Platoshkin, the campaign is absolutely the same, but Grudinin’s campaign cost hundreds of millions of rubles. That is, someone spent hundreds of millions of rubles on Platoshkin. Probably, a person who takes that kind of money out of his pocket is not just like that.
Then Platoshkin went to the Khabarovsk Territory to run for the State Duma, of course, he lost there because no one needed him. Nothing worked out, but how much does the election for the five hundred thousandth constituency to the State Duma cost?
Without a million dollars there is nothing to do there, that is, someone gave that kind of money, and we are all perplexed, where did the person get the money from, did he receive the salary of an employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs? He doesn’t have any publications, he doesn’t have any businesses, where does the money come from?” – the professor was indignant.
In addition, the expert noted that Platoshkin never criticized the United States, but constantly criticized Russia.
“By the way, please note that Platoshkin has never criticized America in his life; he always criticizes only Russia and only our government.
If you are a socialist and a communist, then tell us where the main bourgeois sits in the world, well, of course he sits in America, so tell us about it, why are you silent all the time?” – Matveychev expressed his indignation.
