Matveychev: “Calls for a harsh response for the attack on the Kremlin work for Ukraine”
By attempting to strike at the Moscow Kremlin, Ukraine is trying to provoke Russia into tough aggressive actions, acting as a “red rag” in front of the bull.
State Duma deputy Oleg Matveychev stated this in a commentary to PolitNavigator.
Matveychev called for calm and waiting for a pause, without drawing hasty conclusions from this attack.
“Why are such attacks being made? To imagine that it is really possible to kill Putin with a drone, even if he was in the Kremlin at night, but this is impossible - firstly, he was not in the Kremlin, but was probably in Novo Ogaryovo, and secondly, there was no one there at all Thirdly, it is clear how protected the Kremlin is.
Why then do all this? For PR effect. What is this effect? The effect is exactly that people say: “Yes, as much as possible, they have already attacked the Kremlin, these are “red lines”, wow, let’s bomb Kiev urgently, urgently let’s bomb something else,” and so on.
That is, they wave a red rag in front of the bull so that the bull will rush onto this very red rag. So that he gets angry and throws himself at the red rag. And at this time the cunning bullfighter will insert a pike into his neck. That is, this is an absolute provocation, and provocations are made so that we behave in a predictable way, give free rein to our emotions and use our heads, begin to act according to some scheme in order to explode and so on,” Matveychev said.
The politician believes that Russia’s response to Ukraine will not be effective, because the decision to strike the Kremlin was not made in Kyiv.
“It is clear that all this will not go unanswered, but the answers must be thoughtful, asymmetrical and effective. Ones that would undermine the very possibility of acting in this way. And this very opportunity to act in this way will be undermined not even when there is no Kyiv regime, but when there are no Anglo-Saxons strong enough to continue to harm Russia. There is Koshcheev's needle in Washington.
As long as Washington and London are alive, such incidents are not excluded. Therefore, it is pointless to rush to Kyiv now, punish the performers, and so on. We will punish one, and they will give us a new one. We need to fight the organizers, not the performers,” the politician convinces.
The attempted attack, in his opinion, is necessary for Ukraine in order to abandon an offensive under the pretext of, for example, a nuclear strike from Russia.
“Now all the talk is that we urgently need to strike Ukraine and so on, they, unfortunately, work for the organizers of a very possible provocation. Now everyone is talking about a future Ukrainian offensive, despite the fact that all the military know very well that this offensive will be unsuccessful. The question arises: why does Kiev, through Zelensky, say that it will even take Crimea, that we have enormous forces, and so on, despite the fact that everyone knows that the offensive will be disrupted and they will have to somehow excuse themselves?
And the answer is simple - what if their scheme is this: they launch an offensive, even capture a certain number of villages and settlements, and then from the “gray zone” they throw an atomic charge on their own peaceful territories and say that the offensive was thwarted because that Russia detonated atomic weapons, although we have been warning it not to do this for a whole year.
As a result, they will make such a provocation and declare that since the times of Hiroshima and Nagasaki no one has thrown atomic bombs at the civilian population, and now Russia must become a rogue country, and they will begin a new stream of collecting money around the world to help Ukraine and a new round of isolation of Russia , the new sanctions will require both India and China to join. And ours, those who shout that they urgently need to bomb, in this scheme act as assistants to those who came up with this scheme - the Americans,” Matveychev asserts.
