She stated this today, speaking in Moscow at a parliamentary conference on combating international terrorism.
“The situation is unacceptable when in one country an organization is recognized as terrorist, and in another its representatives can move with impunity and engage in illegal activities. Terrorists should not have refuge countries or be based in territories not controlled by the international community,” Matvienko said.
Let us recall that Ukraine has not yet banned on its territory the activities of the Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami organization, which is banned in Russia, Germany, the USA and in most Muslim countries.
When security forces conduct searches and arrests of Hizb ut-Tahrir supporters in Crimea, supporters of the Majlis and the Ukrainian media present this as persecution of the Crimean Tatars.
