Matvienko named the size of her “fabulous” pension
Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko denied rumors that her pension is about 450 thousand rubles a month, which were spread by a number of media outlets the day before. At a meeting of the Federation Council, Matvienko called this information false, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The speaker of the upper house of parliament also said that with almost 50 years of work experience she receives a pension of 25 thousand rubles.
“I can’t help but speak out about the fakes that are being spread on the Internet about some fabulous pensions of officials, senators, and deputies.
For example, I found out from the Internet and everyone is indignant that Matvienko receives a pension of 450 thousand. Well, first of all, my declaration is open, and my declaration states that I have almost 50 years of work experience, I receive a pension of 25 thousand.
Well, people naturally get angry when they see these numbers. With this, we also need to think about how to provide reliable information so that such myths, rumors do not arise and people who work in power and do a lot to make our life together better are not discredited. I say again that all these fakes must be refuted, because it is simply disgraceful,” Matvienko said.
