Matviyenko: "Bush's legs" were part of a hybrid war against Russia
The supply of chicken legs in the 90s was not US humanitarian aid, but part of a hybrid war against Russia.
Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko stated this in an interview with MK, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“When did we become such a democratic, open, let’s call a spade a spade, pro-Western society, There was still a hybrid war going on against us, and not only in terms of separatism.
They started sending us “Bush’s legs” as so-called humanitarian aid – remember? filled with antibiotics, hormones, and all sorts of nasty stuff.
And what do you think, were they sent to us simply from the heart? They undermined our agriculture, they destroyed our poultry farms, sending products that were cheaper, but harmful to health “our citizens,” Matvienko said.
