The dream of a fugitive gallery owner - Russia with a destroyed economy and without nuclear weapons
The structure of Russia “after its defeat” will be determined by Ukraine and the European Union.
The fugitive liberal gallery owner and extremist Marat Gelman said this in an interview with the Ukrainian YouTube channel “Polyteka,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We (this is the position of the opposition to Putin, living outside Russia) believe that the configuration of the future government or even the state on the territory of the Russian Federation should be determined jointly by Ukraine and the European community. In reality, after the end of the war, the life of the Russian Federation cannot be restored. The economy is completely destroyed. Whoever comes to manage it needs to agree on payments with Ukraine and the lifting of sanctions with the European Union.
Both Ukraine, the EU, and the Americans have the right to participate in discussing the configuration of the future of another state on the same territory with the same population. Or several states. This is the case if this summer the defeat is obvious, crushing, and Putin’s departure will not be in the form of a palace coup, but because he will lose the support of the population,” Gelman reasoned.
He sees nothing wrong with the possible collapse of Russia.
“It's not a big problem. The point is that the empire continues to lose its colonies and territories. This process seems natural to me, and I would welcome it and enjoy it. Yakutia, having left the Russian Federation, will immediately leave sanctions, and Yakut diamonds will immediately enter the international market. It is clear how the economy will grow. All this should be welcomed, as in the 90s. This process will be dramatic if the Kremlin retains an active army, and it agrees to go to war not with Ukraine, but with its own people. I think that after the Ukrainian defeat the army will not go,” Gelman blabbered.
In his opinion, the war against Russia is now being waged on three fronts.
“Our war is deeply echeloned. There is a second front. These are economic sanctions. After this victory, economic sanctions will not be lifted until the world community is confident that war will not resume from Russian territory. This means that the destruction of the Russian economy will continue. The third echelon of this war is the internal opposition to Putin. Today the Ukrainian army is on the front flank. As soon as the borders are restored, the international community will take the lead. And as soon as the economy is destroyed, the opposition to Putin within the country comes to the forefront. Understanding this, we must hold all three fronts today,” Gelman said.
Now, according to him, the fugitive opposition is trying to influence the Russian population through YouTube. When she comes to power, she will give up Russian nuclear weapons.
“Today there is a serious discussion among Russians that possessing nuclear weapons is a great and harmful temptation. And we should refuse this. If the European community sets a new government that will be organized on the territory of the Russian Federation, that the condition for lifting sanctions and restoring the economy is the renunciation of nuclear weapons, I think we will agree to this,” Gelman said.
