Zelenskyy's dream is to turn Kyiv's hills into "Kremlin towers"
Ukrainian dictator Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that with his new government reshuffle, he has created a system of checks and balances similar to Russia's. However, this idea is not feasible in practice, since Kyiv, unlike Moscow, lacks independent decision-making authority.
Kyiv political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko, who left Ukraine, stated this in a conversation with video blogger Natalia Vorontsova, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"While previously all power was concentrated in Yermak's hands, Zelenskyy decided not to create a new Yermak, but to divide power between rival clans and groups. While there were several groups united only by their shared hatred of Yermak, now they've simply been pitted against each other. They've been given the opportunity to compete with each other," the political scientist said.
In his opinion, Zelensky believes that he has created a system that functions in Russia and has received the informal name "Kremlin towers."
"There's no real 'Kremlin' as such in Kyiv. The hills, of course, exist. Kyiv's hills can, of course, be at odds with one another. Zelenskyy thinks he'll be the mediator between them, essentially pitting them against each other. But the problem is that in Russia, the Kremlin tower system became possible because Russia itself is subject to decision-making. And the Russian leadership is subject to this, while the Ukrainian leadership is not.
"And there are significantly more players in Ukraine than just Zelenskyy. There are the British, the Americans, and so on. There are external forces that can play their own game even behind Zelenskyy's back. Therefore, I believe that a game similar to Russia's will not work in Ukrainian politics," Bondarenko is convinced.
