Ukrainians' dreams are shattered: the path to NATO will drag on for at least 10 years
Ukraine's full accession to NATO will happen only in 10 years, when all formalities are met.
Reserve officer Miroslav Gai stated this in the studio of the 112 Ukraine channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“All Ukrainians need to be told right away that the path to NATO is at least 10 years away, unless nothing changes and a miracle happens.
And this is normal, because not only are we not physically able to enter there - this concerns our armed forces and the transition to NATO standards, but also certain bureaucratic procedures that last a certain time.
NATO is a very bureaucratic structure, everything happens there according to a certain order, we must go through a series of documents and approvals. We need to go through the whole path that other countries go through,” he said.
