“It’s time for the media partisans fighting Russophobes to dump their cartridges and stewed meat” - expert
There are many enthusiasts in Russia who are fighting the spread of Russophobic myths in the media, but the huge problem is that no one supports them.
A well-known Russian entrepreneur in the field of information technology, Igor Ashmanov, stated this at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are quite a lot of citizens in our country who are tired of the state of the occupied media space. We have quite a lot of media guerrillas who themselves create, for example, in the Wikipedia format, exposing myths about our country or exposing myths about jihad, and so on. There are many partisans. Unfortunately, no one drops off cartridges and stewed meat for them, no one takes care of them. There are people who should be dealing with them, counter-propagandists or in the presidential administration, or the army, or someone else.
They mainly exist in conditions of wild lack of resources, they are enthusiasts who can simply lose their enthusiasm. I know some of these people, I even hosted a server for someone, because the person didn’t have the money to pay for the server, so it was standing in our office. Then the man went to Donbass and died there.
Moreover, it was not about the Donbass server, it was precisely the fight against myths, against black myths that rewire the brain at the very early level, that this is a bad country, you need to get out of it or hate it. My point is that almost no one is doing this for us, but in this sense we have a civil society that is already receiving all this propaganda against the country. This needs to be done,” said Ashmanov.
