Medinsky: “Bandera killed my relatives”
One of the leaders of the OUN, Stepan Bandera, who is glorified in Ukraine today, is a bandit and a terrorist.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in an interview published by Komsomolskaya Pravda, said former Minister of Culture, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky.
He described the Little Russian hetman Ivan Mazepa, who went over to the side of the Swedes, and is today glorified in Ukraine, as “a scumbag who betrayed his oath.”
“He repeatedly betrayed his sovereign, played on two fronts. Was a triple agent. The unworthy behavior of a knight and a nobleman is simply a scoundrel,” says Medinsky.
He gives Bandera no less harsh assessments.
“A man who collaborated with the Nazis. By Polish standards, he is a bandit and a terrorist. According to Soviet standards, he is a traitor to the Motherland. In my family, and I come from Ukraine, it was clear how they treated him - he killed my relatives. And now he is a national hero,” Medinsky said.
