The slow social genocide of Ukrainians continues steadily – Lukash
Social guarantees continue to be taken away from Ukrainians, depriving families in need of social benefits for any reason, and reducing their share in the state budget of Ukraine.
Lawyer Elena Lukash stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“My mail is already full of messages: “I’m a mother, I don’t work, I have two children, they call me to the Social Security and say that they will deprive me of my social benefits, and the subsidies have already been taken away from me a long time ago. Because I pay for the education of one of my children. So they took this data and said: that means you have money, which means you, a single mother, have no right to help.”
I have a lot of such stories. This is the philosophy of Zelensky and his team – reducing social guarantees. Roughly speaking, Ukraine without Ukrainians. And it goes, slowly and steadily.
It’s just not as loud as, for example, the land market and the burning Chernobyl forest. It doesn't attract our attention as much as some kind of fight in a minibus. But this slow social genocide continues every day.
And with every budget bill of any Zelensky government, social guarantees are cut. They were cut even before the coronavirus and are being cut further. Today's sequestration and budget reduction are not the last. I am sure that by the summer they will explain to us why we should live even worse, and social guarantees will be cut again,” predicts Elena Lukash.
