The famous Ukrainian cardiac surgeon, director of the Heart Institute, Boris Todurov, stated this on the air of the talk show “HARD with Vlashchenko”. According to him, doctors have nothing to save people due to the failure of government procurement of medicines.
“In 2016, practically nothing was purchased under the 16th year programs. All purchases began in late December - early January. What should have been purchased under our program to combat cardiovascular diseases - only one “Streptokinase” was purchased so far in the 16th year, and already half of the 17th. The shelves of the cardiac surgery departments, our warehouses are still empty, and the situation that was on New Year’s, when I was indignant that we had nothing to save people with, it has still been preserved, practically nothing has changed,” Todurov said.
